How are pop-up cards produced?

The computer demo is usually done 2 to 3 times due to client feedback. When all feedback is clear, the next step is printing and cutting for the first actual demo. A color printer and a laser cutting machine will be used. How to cut paper with a laser beam without leaving ugly and dirty cuts is an important part.
The actual demo also takes 2 to 3 times. After the client confirms the pop-up card for the final time, the file will be converted to a larger file to fit the size of the printer and laser machine, preparing for the mass production process.
The most difficult step is assembling all the pieces into the target architecture and gluing them onto the inner cover. This stage requires skill and years of experience from the craftsmen. Additionally, it requires their passion for the craft, perseverance, meticulousness, and utmost care. Because just one mistake, one wrong piece, one torn piece, or one dirt mark from their hands can render a pop-up card unusable.
The final step is packaging. Typically, all suppliers package their pop-up cards in an envelope and a nylon bag. Additionally, all parts of the 3D picture must be carefully inspected before reaching the final customer. This is considered the most important step.
